My affair with art was a gradual progression covering several very different domains. Initially, I ventured into the culinary world, establishing three a la carte restaurants. Eventually, my artistic endeavours expanded into the vibrant world of fashion, where I established two exclusive fashion labels and a boutique specializing in exquisite bridal wear for 13 years. I was constantly seeking new inspirations and pushing the boundaries of creativity with colours, textures, and designs.
A change in lifestyle and a relocation to Far North Queensland, led to yet another realization: the fascinating realm of resin art, and it was through this medium, that I felt I had at last captured the very essence of my desires.
Taking inspiration from the dazzling colours of the Great Barrier Reef, (with turquoise being my personal favourite), as well as the wild and rugged beauty of the Australian outback, I embarked on a journey of exploration. My intention was to replicate the captivating textures and hues found in mineral deposits and other natural resources, using metallic and pearlescent pigment on various substrates, including glass, aluminium, acrylic, wood, Perspex, steel, and canvas.
By incorporating different techniques and substances, my aim is to create artwork that is truly one of a kind, capturing the very quintessence of Australia in three dimensional forms, including sculpture.
At the core of my creative process lies a deep passion for music covering many genres, particularly classical compositions, with Chopin taking precedence above all. Each artwork commences with a specific harmony of sound, culminating in a crescendo of visual splendour. The musical tones are translated into a symphony of colours, evoking sensations that I hope will bring you joy and offer a fresh perspective of art in a truly unique and distinct form. It is an indulgence which enriches the mind and soul.
